About The Gate

In ancient times, ‘the gate’ was a place in the city walls where people interacted with each other. We at The Gate hope to be a connecting point between Christianity and culture, believing that the Good News of hope that Christ offers speaks to every area of life.

The Gate is a gathering of people, who want to know Jesus, be like Him, and mirror His beauty to our world. We seek to be ‘a gate’ for anyone who wants to discover God, because we feel that our deepest longings are satisfied in relationship with Him.

As we also desire to be ‘a gate’ for God, in a sense…as we learn how to open ourselves to His presence in our lives. We are committed to passionate worship and the preaching of His Word – pursuing His glory, welcoming His gifts, yet staying strongly grounded in the Scriptures.

The Gate is a place where people who want to follow Jesus can find each other and experience life in His Spirit together. So, we are committed to building caring communities in which believers help each other grow in Christ. We invite you to walk with us as we seek to walk with Him.

Steven Fry - Pastor

Steve is the President of Messenger Fellowship, a community of leaders and churches committed to modeling and multiplying ‘Presence-shaped’ paradigms of ministry. He is also involved in many forms of creative communications, and his life message aspires to awaken in people a passion for God and to summon the Church to align to the Kingdom. As a pastor, author, composer and recording artist, Steve blends worship and scriptural teaching in a way that is relevant and revelatory.

Steve has traveled the globe speaking at churches and conferences, leading mission teams, and touring with his musicals We Are Called, Thy Kingdom Come, and Storyteller. He is the author of a number of books including the popular I AM: The Unveiling of God.

Steve and his wife, Nancy, have three children -- Cameron, Kelsey and Caleigh.
